Satisfied Pups
Check out some stories about satisfied pups and their experiences with canine massage therapy.
Paddington
This little character is all personality! Paddington is an active guy with a busy schedule and needs to feel like he’s in tip top condition to play on the beach and keep his dog walker on his toes! Paddington has a heart murmur, so his mom got him a five massage package and we worked on keeping the muscles of his back, shoulders, and neck relaxed so he could continue his quest for “Cutest Cocker Spaniel on the West Coast.” Don’t tell him, but I think his adopted sister Ginny (not pictured) is gonna give him a run for his money!
Rocco
This sweet 13 year old guy has arthritis and pain in his right shoulder, neck and back. His mom and dad say that after his sessions, he moves better and it’s obvious that he feels more comfortable. After a few sessions, I can feel that Rocco’s muscles are softer and more supple, especially in his neck. He loves his bi-weekly massage sessions so much that he falls asleep and (almost!) doesn’t wake up when I finish and leave.
Blondie
Meet Miss Blondie. She has a ruptured ACL and surgery isn’t really an option for her. Her muscles in the injured leg are painful and a little atrophied from not using the limb. The muscles of her other legs are also stiff and painful from over-compensating. The muscles in her back and neck are painful too.
Our goal from massage is to help relax and ease discomfort in the overused muscles and help the muscles in the injured leg by decreasing pain and increasing blood flow to prevent further atrophy. She really enjoyed the session and from the looks of it, slept great afterward.
Edie
This little darling first came to me after an ACL surgery to her left knee. She was uncomfortable, had poor muscle tone and poor range of motion. After several weekly sessions Edie improved greatly! Since then, she has had bi-weekly or monthly sessions to keep her feeling comfortable and limber.
She LOVES her massage sessions and immediately jumps up on the bed ready to feel great! Edie and her family have recently embarked on a big adventure and moved north to Oregon. I miss her a lot (not to mention her adorable fur-siblings), but wish Edie and her family good luck on their move!
